Idile-Alade Oluwa
SS22
My senior year collection is Idile-Alade Oluwa, which means God's Royal Family in Yoruba. My grandmother and my Nigerian culture inspired me. I traveled to Nigeria in February of 2021 to bury my grandmother. On the day of her burial, a representative of the royal family came to her funeral. That was the day I and my siblings found out that she was a princess of a village in Nigeria. I love my culture, from the food to the way we dress. I focused on Plus-size women for my collection because I want plus-size women to feel like royalty when they get dressed.
